Milwaukee LATAM in Torreón is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead Value Engineering initiatives for cost reduction and product optimization. You will guide engineering solutions, mentor engineers, and set technical direction across development and change management processes.

The role requires leadership in mechanical design and strong collaboration with suppliers and production teams to validate designs and ensure successful implementation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Strong background in mechanical design, material mechanics, and failure analysis.
• Experience with manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience leading ECR and ECN processes.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred previous experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Experience working in a product development or Value Engineering environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Value Engineering projects focused on cost reduction initiatives.
• Develop and evaluate design, manufacturing, and process improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical design and engineering activities.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Work closely with suppliers and sourcing teams on technical evaluations and quotations.
• Support production builds and project validation activities.
• Conduct hands-on assembly and disassembly testing of products.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers reporting directly to the position.
• Drive problem-solving and technical decision-making across projects.
