Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Design Engineer I for cost-reduction and product engineering initiatives in Torreón, MX. You will develop mechanical designs, create 3D models and 2D drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve quality and performance.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering degree, GD&T knowledge, hands-on testing skills, and advanced English ability to communicate across functions and with manufacturing partners.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Understanding of GD&T principles.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Support Value Engineering projects focused on cost reduction opportunities.
• Develop mechanical design solutions and engineering improvements.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Participate in Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams for quotations and technical evaluations.
• Support production line events and project validation builds.
• Perform hands-on assembly and disassembly testing of power tools.
• Conduct technical analysis including failure analysis and risk assessments.
