LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Mexico City seeks a Senior II Data Scientist to lead AI solution development using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows. You will collaborate with product managers and domain experts to translate business needs into production-ready AI systems that scale across our platforms.

Formación

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Data Scientist or similar roles.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building RAG-based applications and agentic AI systems.
• Ability to design end-to-end AI solution architectures including data ingestion, retrieval, generation, and evaluation components.
• Strong proficiency in Python, modern AI frameworks, cloud-based development, and software engineering best practices for production AI systems.
• Experience with NLP, document processing, search, recommendation systems, or related information retrieval problems.
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, and retrieval mechanisms.
• Ability to evaluate AI system performance and diagnose issues related to answer quality, retrieval, hallucinations, or model behavior.
• Experience implementing agentic workflows and multi-agent architectures.
• Proven ability to work with Product and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills in English.

About The Role

As a Senior II Data Scientist, you will lead the development of innovative AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI systems. You will work closely with product managers, domain experts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions while contributing directly to software development and continuous innovation.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Data Scientist or similar roles.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building RAG-based applications and agentic AI systems.

• Ability to evaluate AI system performance and diagnose issues related to answer quality, retrieval, hallucinations, or model behavior.

• Proven ability to work closely with Product and stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
• Strong communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
