Job summary
AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare environment. You will own the data platform during LatAm hours, handle complex troubleshooting, and optimize pipelines end-to-end.
You will lead data ingestion, modeling, quality, and observability, collaborating with Cloud/DevOps and analytics teams. Fluent English required. Hybrid/remote options may apply.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
- Strong hands-on Snowflake design, warehouse performance, access patterns, and production troubleshooting.
- Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformation, testing, lineage, and controlled deployment.
- Experience operating Fivetran or HVR and supporting custom ingestion pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly S3 and ingestion patterns.
- Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar workflow orchestration.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
- Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.
- Ability to lead complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage window.
- Operate and optimize Snowflake production and non-production environments.
- Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
- Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
- Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and governance.
- Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
- Define and improve data quality and observability standards.
- Expand end-to-end monitoring and lineage with available tools.
- Lead major data incidents, RCAs, and preventive actions.
- Support Tableau Cloud operations when data connectivity or refresh fails.
- Drive standardization, automation, and cost improvements.
- Execute service-management workflows and create runbooks.
- Mentor engineers and ensure effective handoffs across teams.
- Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation.
