Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own day-to-day operations, optimize warehouses, manage access, and guide data ingestion and modeling efforts.

You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and Governance teams, lead incidents, and champion data quality, observability, and cost improvements across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake expertise including design and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt experience for transformations and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency with AWS data services, especially S3.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Proficient in Python for automation and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, QA.
• Observability, logging, incident management experience.
• Ability to lead incidents and perform RCAs.
• Excellent English communication; available PT 9-6 and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Data Platform service during LatAm window.
• Manage Snowflake environments, performance and troubleshooting.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and auditing.
• Oversee ingestion via Fivetran/HVR and pipelines.
• Build and test dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
• Support S3 data-lake operations and lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo and Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards.
• Expand monitoring and lineage with tools like Synq, dbt, Snowflake.
• Lead major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate on Tableau Cloud when needed.
• Create runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure handoffs.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
