Job summary

Nagarro1 in Mexico is seeking a data engineer to design and build scalable Snowflake data models and end-to-end pipelines. You will own the data warehouse layer powering analytics and reporting, and enforce best practices in dbt development, testing, and CI/CD.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data engineering with expert Snowflake skills, strong SQL, Python scripting, and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Cloud platform familiarity is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related role.
• Hands-on Snowflake and dbt in a production environment.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations.
• Proficiency in Python for data pipelines.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design & build scalable Snowflake data models using star/snowflake patterns, OBT and Data Vault.
• Develop, test, and document dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake costs including warehouse sizing and auto-suspend tuning.
• Build robust ELT/ETL pipelines from ERP, MES, IoT, APIs, and flat files into Snowflake/AWS Glue/Lambda.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage, and governance.
