The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to shape data flows across our enterprise, leveraging Spark, Scala, and JVM-based engineering to deliver scalable batch and streaming workloads.

You will design integration pipelines, optimize performance, and build REST-based microservices on the JVM, aligning with modern data platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Synapse Analytics. You will collaborate with global teams, apply SOLID principles, and champion reliability and run-it-yourself

Formación

• Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming concepts.
• 3+ years of Spark experience building distributed apps.
• Experience designing data models for analytics.
• Experience building REST-based microservices on JVM.
• Experience with Synapse/Fabric and Azure data services.
• DevOps/CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Maven/SBT.
• Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Delta Lake) in cloud environments.
• Experience in Agile development and global team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop data integration pipelines using Apache Spark with Scala.
• Build and optimize distributed batch and streaming workloads in Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Perform Spark performance tuning and memory/configuration optimizations.
• Develop REST-based microservices and APIs on the JVM.
• Apply SOLID principles to write modular, testable Scala code.
• Optimize data workflows for cost efficiency and high performance.
• Champion CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Maven, and SBT.
