Descripción de la vacante

IFF is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines across R&D, SAP, and external sources. The role is hybrid and based in Tlalnepantla, with responsibilities spanning data transformation, analytics readiness, and product data delivery.

You will mentor engineers and help establish governance practices while leveraging Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, and AWS to enable data-driven decisions and AI initiatives.

Formación

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Platform Development, or related technical roles.
  • Strong SQL and Python for data engineering, automation, and large‑scale data processing.
  • Experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.

  • Mentor junior engineers and establish data engineering best practices and roadmaps.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards across platforms.

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines that integrate data from multiple enterprise platforms, including R&D, SAP, Digital, and external sources.
  • Lead the transformation of complex raw data into high‑quality, business‑ready datasets that support analytics, reporting, AI, and data products.
  • Architect and maintain reliable, high‑performance data solutions that ensure data accessibility, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve data ingestion, processing, monitoring, and deployment processes.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement data products that generate measurable business value.
  • Implement advanced data quality controls, monitoring frameworks, and validation processes throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain data applications and self‑service solutions that improve data accessibility and user adoption.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards across all data platforms and solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing data engineering best practices, standards, and technical roadmaps.
What Makes You the Right Fit
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Platform Development, or related technical roles.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data engineering, automation, and large‑scale data processing.
  • Extensive experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud‑based environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, database design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating data through APIs, event‑driven architectures, and multiple enterprise data sources.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, and Metadata Management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
How Would You Stand Out?
  • Experience building data products and self‑service analytics solutions using tools such as Streamlit.
  • Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Data Science initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud Technologies, Data Engineering, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
