Finance Supply Chain & Operations in San Luis Potosi, MX is seeking a Cost Accountant to provide technical support to the cost accounting function as directed. The role involves developing and monitoring procedures, leading cost-focused projects, and coordinating with plants and shared services to ensure proper closings and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting (Finance acceptable with relevant experience) and have strong data analysis skills, Excel proficiency,

Formación

• Broad training in accounting or finance fields.
• CPA recommended or pursuing CPA is a plus.
• Experience in cost accounting or financial close processes is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and monitors cost accounting procedures and policies for the division.
• Leads projects to optimize systems and resources supporting financial value-add initiatives.
• Monitors monthly closings and assists plants with issue resolution.
• Performs month-end close accounting and prepares divisional financial results for corporate consolidation.
• Ensures inventories are counted and documented correctly (raw materials, finished goods, storeroom).
• Prepares monthly analyses and reports for plant and division management.
• Analyzes monthly cost statements and explains variances.
• Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
