Polaris Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to provide technical support and leadership for industrial control systems in our Monterrey manufacturing operations.

You will improve performance, reliability, and efficiency through advanced troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial controls within a manufacturing environment.
  • Conversational English (required).
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming (ControlLogix, MicroLogix).
  • Experience programming HMIs (PanelView Plus) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet networks.
  • Experience with preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, control and relay logic, and electronics.
  • Knowledge in TPM methodology.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD for schematics is a plus.
  • Self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and maintain control system standards and configurations for new and existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of control systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Implement programming changes to improve equipment performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify automation opportunities.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including control logic, schematics, and system configurations.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Improve equipment reliability through data analysis and drive maintenance strategies.
  • Train production and maintenance personnel on system operation, diagnostics, and programming.
  • Coordinate with tooling, engineering, and operations on new equipment and process development.
  • Manage and coordinate technical teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
