Cisco's Material Planning team owns the component-level need for assigned commodities, translating demand signals into time-phased component requirements to secure supplies across ASICs, Memory, PCB, Power, Optics, and MPU. You will lead risk assessment, buffer strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize service levels and cost.

Formación

• 5+ years in materials or commodity planning in manufacturing/electronics/tech.
• Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Experience planning with BOM structures: BOM explosion, requirement netting, multi-site.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization for risk modeling and scenario planning.

Responsabilidades

• Own component-level need for assigned commodity and act as planning voice with partners.
• Translate demand and supply into time-phased component requirements; separate min need from upside/buffer.
• Identify risk through lead-time trends; contribute deviations and product transitions to prevent shortages.
• Own safety stock and buffer strategies with Planning and Global Supplier Management; balance volatility with real signals.
• Partner with GMO and GSM during constraint events to enable fast, defensible shortage decisions.
