Internationalinsuranceprofessionals is seeking an experienced Underwriter Senior de Seguros Comerciales to join its underwriting team in a fully remote role across Mexico. The Senior Underwriter will evaluate, select, and price complex commercial risks, ensuring profitability and adherence to guidelines.

This remote opportunity offers flexibility to work from anywhere within Mexico while the company maintains a strong presence in Aguascalientes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
• Proven ability to underwrite complex risks and make sound judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy forms, and relevant regulations.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload in a remote setting.
• Professional designations (e.g., AU, CPCU or equivalent) are a strong advantage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico and comfortable working remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and underwrite complex commercial insurance applications, assessing risks and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents, providing expert advice and support.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and company best practices.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling relevant insurance products.
• Collaborate with claims, legal, and product development teams to ensure comprehensive risk management.
• Monitor the profitability and performance of assigned book of business.
• Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Mentor and guide junior underwriters, sharing knowledge and expertise.
• Approve or decline risks within established underwriting authority.
