Job summary

SWBC is seeking a skilled Collections Manager to oversee staff performance and ensure compliance with FDCPA and all state/federal regulations. The role involves determining workloads, optimizing schedules, and maintaining client communication with financial institutions.

Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree in Business/Finance or related field, at least five years of collections leadership, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. Travel may be required locally or nationally.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• FDCPA certification required.
• Minimum of five (5) years overseeing and managing collection processes, including at least two (2) years of charged-off debt collections.

Responsibilities

• Determines workload for Collections personnel and suggests schedules to meet performance goals.
• Maintains communication with financial institutions to ensure client expectations are conveyed.
• Reviews and recommends performance ratings, promotions, salary changes, transfers and termination of staff.
• Manages staff and activities involved with collections, including coaching, and resolving personnel issues.
