Job summary

PPG seeks a Senior Coatings Formulator to develop coating formulations, ensuring product quality and cost efficiency across the supply chain. The role supports launches of new products and optimizes formulations for performance in testing and commercialization phases.

You will report to the Technical Manager Jr. and work on adapting formulations to improve performance while exploring cost-reduction alternatives. Remote work may be possible.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in research and development in coatings.
• Fluent English.
• Knowledge of solvents, resins, pigments and additives used in coatings formulation.

Responsibilities

• Adapt coating formulations to improve product performance on customer lines.
• Improve formulations to maintain high level of performance approved for manufacturing.
• Propose alternatives for formulation cost reduction.
• Manage activities to ensure efficient launching of new products in customer lines.
• Ensure quick response to quality problems in customer lines or production.
