Donaldson is seeking a high-energy Senior Category Manager to join our global organization. This exciting role will be primarily responsible for one of our major commodity categories for The Americas.

You will interface with all levels of our organization and with our suppliers. This position has high visibility and offers many opportunities to positively contribute to the success of our company and for our customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years professional-level sourcing experience.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Experience in the automotive/manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Define procurement strategy for the Castings Commodity that ensure supply and financial objectives are achieved.
• Monitor commodity markets influencing cost and supply; negotiate to drive best total cost and ensure continuous supply.
• Communicate commodity strategies and trends to leadership and stakeholders; provide overviews of strategy effectiveness.
• Manage pricing to align with market conditions and drive year-over-year cost reductions.
• Identify, on-board, and develop suppliers aligned with strategic sourcing objectives; review performance with suppliers.
• Support plant and distribution center teams to align servicing end customers and ensure efficient operations.
• Engage Supplier Quality Management in supplier development to achieve 50 PPM quality levels.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of the supply base and implement countermeasures.
