Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager to join our Global APD Procurement team in Aguascalientes, Mexico. You will lead end-to-end sourcing for high-impact New Product Introductions, coordinating with US and Mexico plants and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include supplier scouting, RFQ execution, tooling negotiations, and sPPAP coordination with QA. Travel up to 15–20% may be required as projects advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or business field.
• 3+ years in sourcing/procurement in manufacturing or automotive.
• Ability to read 2D/3D CAD drawings and understand processes across plastics, metals, castings or rubber.
• Knowledge of AIAG APQP/PPAP processes, supplier audits and tooling milestones.
• Fluent English; capable of leading international meetings and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic procurement for assigned New Product Introduction projects across US and Mexico sites.
• Scout, assess, benchmark, and select suppliers aligned with Global Category Management strategies.
• Prepare and execute RFQ packages with 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and cost data.
• Lead tooling quotations, negotiations, and PO releases; monitor tooling build timelines and trials.
• Coordinate supplier sPPAP submissions with Plant Quality and SQE teams.
• Act as primary interface for cross-functional stakeholders; identify competitive supplier options in Mexico and beyond.
• Deliver cost avoidance and secure favorable sourcing agreements and rebates.
• Ensure seamless handover of completed NPI projects to Plant Buyers and Category Managers.
