Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to serve as Technical Lead on a team refactoring and enhancing a production-grade application. The role focuses on evolving a complex C++ codebase while preserving existing behavior and technology choices, guiding the team’s technical direction, mentoring engineers, and communicating decisions to the client.

• Production-grade C++ development experience.
• Experience with large enterprise codebases.
• Proven refactoring and debt reduction experience.
• Experience leading technical decisions and mentoring.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and understand complex legacy C++ codebases to support ongoing refactoring initiatives and help define the team's overall refactoring strategy.
• Refactor existing components to improve maintainability, readability, performance, and code quality.
• Identify and resolve defects, inefficiencies, and architectural issues while preserving existing functionality.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to define safe and incremental refactoring strategies, and lead their execution across the team.
• Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers, promoting engineering best practices across the team.
• Communicate directly with client stakeholders to explain technical decisions and refactoring trade-offs.
• Contribute to architectural discussions when relevant, without introducing major technology changes.
• Improve unit testing coverage and support validation of refactored functionality.
• Document technical findings, design decisions, and refactoring approaches for future maintainability.
