GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, data-intensive enterprise applications for government motor vehicle agencies across 20+ jurisdictions in the US and Canada. The core stack centers on C# and .NET with SQL Server, alongside C++.

You will own full-stack development, optimize databases, modernize legacy systems, and contribute to CI/CD improvements while mentoring junior engineers and upholding SOLID principles.

We build and maintain critical systems that government motor vehicle agencies depend on to test, license, and certify drivers across 20+ jurisdictions in the US and Canada.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, data-intensive enterprise applications. The core stack is centered on C# and .NET with SQL Server, alongside C++.

Core Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain web applications and microservices using C# and .NET MVC, integrating UI components via Vue.js or traditional server-rendered views.
• Database Optimization: Design and tune high-performance SQL Server queries, indexing strategies, and data access patterns to minimize latency in transactional systems.
• C++ Maintenance: Maintain and extend core, high-throughput backend components written in C++.
• System Modernization & Maintenance: Safely refactor, troubleshoot, and enhance complex legacy systems and multi-system environments without disrupting active services.
• Release & Compliance: Deliver jurisdiction-specific change requests to committed deadlines while supporting automated testing and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Engineering Leadership: Participate in code reviews, enforce SOLID design principles, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers on the team.

Key Qualifications

Must-Have Technical Skills

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• C# & .NET Mastery: Deep experience building and maintaining enterprise production web applications and services.
• SQL Server Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in query optimization, database design, and performance tuning.
• C++ Working Proficiency: Ability to read, debug, and modify existing production C++ code (you don't need to be a C++ specialist, but you will work with it).
• Architecture & Debugging: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues across all layers (DB, Backend, UI) and apply SOLID principles pragmatically.

Soft Skills & Execution

• Ownership: Proven track record of taking complex features from design to deployment independently.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work closely across QA, Product, and cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Azure, CI/CD automated build/release pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
• Modern Tools: Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Security & Compliance: Working knowledge of OWASP standards, PCI compliance, or regulated public-sector environments.
• Mobile/Other Frameworks: Familiarity with React Native or UWP.
