Bluelight is seeking a Business Analyst to translate business problems into clear, buildable requirements. You will sit between clients, the product team, and engineers—running discovery, mapping processes, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring what we ship solves the intended problem.

You will work across client builds, maintenance engagements, and Bluelight internal products, playing a key role in scoping and estimating new projects with a collaborative, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar on software projects.
• Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in agile/Scrum.
• Ability to run discovery sessions and turn ambiguous input into structured requirements.
• Comfort with process mapping and data modeling at a business level.
• Hands-on experience with Jira; familiarity with Figma and collaborative docs.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to lead client meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
• Enough technical literacy to have productive conversations with engineers about APIs, integrations, databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops with clients and internal teams.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
• Support new-project sizing by breaking scope into epics and stories.
• Identify assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions early.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Partner with the Product Manager to prioritize and groom the backlog.
• Work with UI/UX design in Figma to ensure flows match requirements.
• Answer engineering questions during the sprint and keep requirements current.
• Work with QA to ensure acceptance criteria translate into test coverage.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with clients and support demos.
• Keep requirements documentation organized in Google Drive.
• Capture compliance, security, and audit requirements as explicit needs.
• Act as a trusted contact for clients on scope questions.
• Translate between business and technical audiences clearly.
• Surface scope changes early and explain tradeoffs.
