Bluelight seeks a senior software architect with 8+ years of experience to design and guide large-scale systems in AWS. You will lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and craft ADRs while ensuring secure multi-tenant designs and scalable RESTful APIs.

Ideal candidates have strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, experience with latency budgets, and a history of working across teams and with clients. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and opportunities for continuous education.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
• Deep experience designing low-latency service architectures in AWS and distributed components.
• Designs with latency budgets (p95/p99) and synchronous durable commits in hot paths.
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems and deterministic replay.
• Experience with fail-open/fail-closed/degraded-state semantics and outage postures.
• Architecting secure multi-tenant environments with tradeoffs (RLS vs. tenancy models).
• Strong PostgreSQL/AuroraDB expertise and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• RESTful APIs design and SDK integrations to other services.
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the stack.
• Ability to model capacity and cloud cost/performance (AWS Well-Architected).
• Mentoring teams, architecture reviews, ADRs, and architecture documentation.
• Experience presenting architecture decisions in client reviews and security reviews.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and end-to-end large-scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
