Fitch Group LATAM seeks an Associate Director to lead coverage of the Consumer & Retail sector from its Mexico City office. You will perform quantitative and qualitative credit analysis, build financial models, and present findings to internal committees while engaging with industry management teams.

The role emphasizes strong English/Spanish communication, collaboration within a team, and mentorship of junior staff, with a hybrid work arrangement in a leading global ratings firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Retail & Consumer sectors.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English and Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors affecting credit quality for LATAM Consumer & Retail.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Meet with LATAM Consumer & Retail industry management teams.
• Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (investors, sell-side, media).
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Evaluate other credits within the team and related groups.
• Represent Fitch in industry panels and conferences; mentor junior team members.
