Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Principal Application Engineer to support the sale of Chiller products through HVAC system branches and field personnel in export markets.

You will provide pre-sale technical support, answer product inquiries, generate quotations, and assist order execution with Engineering teams. Travel up to 20% may be required. You will engage with product teams to track development and share knowledge of current and legacy products.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in HVAC or related Chiller Technology fields.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, panel design, and circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with field sales to guide application and installation of Chiller Solutions equipment in HVAC systems.
• Advise on systems applications, craft creative solutions for customer needs, and leverage competitor knowledge to gain advantages.
• Develop sales tools and documentation; automate common inquiries to support field sales.
• Use in-house engineering systems to respond with product details and support orders.
