International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) in Mexico seeks a Senior Scientist in analytical chemistry to advance fragrance science in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Tlalnepantla. This on-site role focuses on extracting fragrance materials, profiling with GC/MS, and building high-throughput analytics to generate actionable data for AI-driven design.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field; PhD preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in analytical chemistry within fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related industries.
• Hands-on experience with GC/MS operation and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of fragrance composition, essential oils, aroma chemicals, and specialty bases.
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, and high-throughput analytical systems.
• Advanced data processing, interpretation, and management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Perform fragrance extraction from consumer products using diverse techniques.
• Conduct GC/MS for fragrance profiling and raw material characterization.
• Run and maintain high-throughput analytical workflows and robotic systems to accelerate data generation.
• Provide large uniform data sets that are ready to be used for building correlations, actionable insights and market understanding.
• Support AI-driven fragrance design by providing structured, high-quality data.
• Drive automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reproducibility.
• Contribute to IP development and maintain IFF’s competitive edge.
• Present findings and interpretations to cross-functional teams.
• Foster a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.
