Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an Identity Security Senior Specialist to own, optimize, and support its enterprise identity technology stack. You will configure tools to automate access, enforce security policies at scale, and implement robust SSO, MFA, and identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM).

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in an Identity/IAM role.
• Strong technical proficiency in IAM solutions such as Okta, Auth0.
• Experience with large scale IAM environments and/or business requirements.
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies and strategies.
• Experience with identity protocols like SAML, SCIM, OIDC and OAuth 2.x.

This role in summary

As an Identity Security Senior Specialist , you will own, optimize, and support our enterprise identity technology stack. You will configure tools and processes to automate access, enforce security policies at scale, and implement robust SSO, MFA, and identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM). Working closely with cross-functional IT and security teams, you will champion security best practices, safeguard critical systems against emerging threats, and participate in incident response.

Your responsibilities will include

• Administer, support and drive Identity technology, configuration and operations.

• Configure tools, processes and systems for automating access and policy enforcement at scale in a complex environment.

• Evangelize and implement security best practices for critical production systems.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with our IT team in implementing security best practices and support security initiatives around Single Sign-On (SSO) and MFA.

• Recommend and drive the adoption of technical security controls to strengthen security posture and identity user experience.

• Support security initiatives across the organization via identity practices to support infrastructure and cloud systems against attack.

• Participate in security incident response as needed

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of experience in a Identity/IAM role

• Strong Technical proficiency in IAM solutions, such as Okta, Auth0, etc.

• Experience with large scale IAM environments and/or business requirements.

• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies and strategies.

• Experience with identity protocols like SAML, SCIM, OIDC and OAuth 2.x.

Preferred skills and experiences

• Experience with Okta, AuthO, Ping or similar SSO technology.

• Security certifications to include: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK.

• Experience with administration of various information security tools, ie, configuration & policy updates in various Active Directory environments.

• Experience with monitoring and continuously assessing systems for security threats, including promotion of security policies and baselines.

• Experience with Service Management tools (Service Now, Jira, Zendesk etc…)

• Technical proficiency for creating standard operating procedures, technical specifications and standards.

• Technical understanding in identity lifecycle management.

• Ability to work calmly under pressure in the face of adversity and threat activity

• Possess strong communication skills in oral and written form

• Ability to establish positive working relationships and garner influence with other functions

• Project management experience for full security system lifecycle and security tool upgrades, including business case development

• Self-motivated to own and solve difficult challenges and ability to motivate others to higher levels of performance and engagement

• Strong technical competence up and down the technology stack - user interface, applications, communications, infrastructure, database, network, storage, etc

• Strong desire and aptitude for continuous learning and keeping abreast of new and emerging technology.
