Job summary

S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Data Product Owner to oversee data supporting index maintenance and calculation. You'll collaborate with Product Leads, Design, Commercial, Technology, and Production teams across regions to ensure high-quality data and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 4–5+ years in financial services, strong English, and expertise in Python/Databricks, SQL, and data governance. This role requires working from the office at least 2 days a week in Mexico City.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in financial services with securities knowledge.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience with data governance, validation, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Own data supporting maintenance and calculation of indices.
• Monitor multiple news sources for corporate actions and ensure data quality.
• Verify entries and provide guidance to resolve non-routine issues.
• Implement data governance practices for data quality and completeness.
• Develop domain expertise in securities, corporate actions, and related tools.
