Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior AI Operations Engineer to lead platform SRE and observability in its AI-powered operations stack. You will design and run central observability, instrument systems, and mentor junior engineers while driving automation to reduce toil.

The role focuses on Azure/AWS-based platforms, AI-enabled runbooks, and cross-functional collaboration to improve reliability and incident response across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SRE/Platform ops experience at scale.
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash.
• Experience with cloud (Azure/AWS) and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain centralized observability layer (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Splunk).
• Architect AI-augmented operations tooling and incident analysis systems.
• Lead complex incident response and post-mortems with actionable outcomes.
• Contribute to product engineering with instrumentation and runbooks.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and drive automation to reduce toil.
