Job summary

Aplazo is seeking an experienced accounting and tax leader to oversee day-to-day operations in Mexico, ensuring VAT, ISR, IEPS filings, and compliance with SAT. You will coordinate audits, maintain internal controls, and drive ERP improvements.

This role requires 7+ years in accounting/tax, a public accounting background, and strong leadership to manage teams and deadlines while ensuring regulatory compliance across Mexican standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting is required.
• Specialization or Master’s in Tax Law is desirable.
• Certified Public Accountant designation is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own tax compliance and obligations for VAT, ISR, IEPS and related filings.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and ensure documented controls.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and month-end close processes.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives within ERP and accounting tools.
