Job summary

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in El Salto is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to manage reconciliations, imports, expenses, and the monthly close, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, strengthen internal controls, and use SAP, SONDA, and Concur to record transactions, analyze variances, and support audits. This role requires solid US GAAP knowledge and 2–3 years of relevant experience with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a financial role.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and local accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Validate and accurately record accounting transactions related to import purchases in SONDA and SAP, including reviewing supporting documentation, aging reports, and provisions.
• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations, analyze balance sheet accounts, investigate unusual items, and coordinate timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Review employee travel expenses in Concur, verify policy compliance, approvals, documentation, classifications, and VAT treatment.
• Support the monthly financial close by reviewing journal entries, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and account movements, and prepare financial reports and variances explanations.
• Assist audits and maintain compliance with accounting controls; identify opportunities to standardize and automate processes.
