Position: Cost Control Analyst Sr.

Primary Purpose of the Position: The analyst reports directly to the Cost Control Manager and is responsible for performing cost accounting closing, inventory, and budget control, supporting the factory in cost matters. Serves as technical support for accounting policies and procedures, interacts with internal and external auditors, other external advisors, and other areas of the organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare reconciliation accounts, analyze differences, and add support documentation, in accordance with company policies. Register journal entries during the month and during the month-end closing process.
2. Prepare the month-end closing activities to transmit accurate financials in accordance with regional and corporate deadlines.
3. Determine final costs.
4. Support all company areas by providing required information in a timely manner.
5. Prepare information and analysis requested by internal and external auditors.
6. Prepare other information and analyses for special projects and cost studies based on business decisions.
7. Calculate Standard Cost, prepare Cost Reports, Manufacturing Indicators, control Plant Budgets, ensure proper Cost allocation to materials, support Physical Inventory processes, and other cost-related activities.
8. Prepare Cost Estimates and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
9. Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other methods.
10. Promote continuous improvements in processes, systems, and business concepts to support profitable and sustainable growth.
11. Perform internal and SOX controls, assessing control design and execution.
12. Assess Surplus and Obsolete inventory of Raw materials, WIP, Finished Goods, and Spare Parts.
13. Manage daily scale control, ensuring proper documentation for receipt and shipment of materials, and follow up on exceptions.
14. Lead the repaired spare parts management committee.
15. Support tracking of Capital Expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
16. Analyze scrap and rework costs, collaborating with operations to recognize waste properly.
17. Manage Waste Management Warehouse, ensuring proper recognition and documentation of waste received and removed, coordinate waste removal schedules, and evaluate KPIs.
18. Participate in Plant Optimization initiatives, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing in-transit inventory analysis and follow-up.

Education:

• Required: Undergraduate degree in accounting.
• Desired: CPA and/or an MBA or advanced degree.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in accounting, project accounting, or auditing, preferably in a large, public accounting firm or manufacturing company.
• Experience consolidating data from multiple locations, domestic or international.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to understand complex data, and innovative thinking.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Mx GAAP and U.S. GAAP.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, listening).
• Teamwork experience.

• Good communication skills for relationship building and issue resolution.
• Organizational and methodical habits.
• Attention to operational details to ensure accurate capital and expense segregation and budget control.
• Ethical integrity and moral behavior.
