Job summary

Alcon seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Mexico City. You will ensure accurate recording, reconcile accounts, and prepare internal and external reports, with involvement in cost accounting, budgeting, and working capital activities.

The role emphasizes strong knowledge of accounting principles, SAP and MS Office, and advanced English for multicultural collaboration in a global leader of eye care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced English level; able to express concerns and ideas comfortably in multicultural environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with financial transaction recording standards (general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.).
• Control and reconcile accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.).
• Prepare accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting), including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.
