Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own end-to-end accounting and month-end close for a portfolio of clients. Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), inventory & cost accounting, transactional accounting, and e-commerce/CPG industries is required.

You will manage client deliverables, respond to inquiries, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with Controllers and Staff Accountants to ensure timely closes and reliable financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Experience in inventory and cost accounting.
• Strong transactional accounting skills.
• Experience in e-commerce or CPG industries.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong client communication and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process for client portfolios.
• Handle AP/AR/payroll-related tasks and other accounting activities.
• Perform transactional accounting with proper classification and documentation.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting and related reporting.
• Apply methods for e-commerce/CPG businesses, including inventory transactions.
• Prepare and deliver client accounting reports.
• Respond to client questions and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records in QBO and Double.
• Escalate open items to the Controller as needed.
• Collaborate with Controllers and Staff Accountants to ensure reliable reporting.
