Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own end‑to‑end accounting and month‑end close for a portfolio of clients. You will apply QBO expertise, inventory and cost accounting, and e‑commerce/CPG knowledge to deliver accurate financial records.

The role requires independent task ownership, timely client deliverables, and proactive communication with the Controller. This remote position supports multiple client engagements with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on QBO proficiency for daily accounting operations.
• Experience in inventory and cost accounting relevant to e‑commerce/CPG.
• Ability to manage month‑end close and meet deadlines.
• Strong transactional accounting skills across AP/AR/payroll tasks.
• Clear client communication and ability to respond to inquiries.
• Ability to own tasks and escalate issues to Controller when needed.
• Excellent organization and time management to track open items and deadlines.
• Meticulous for maintaining complete and accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end month‑end close for assigned client portfolio.
• Perform transactional accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting and related financial reporting.
• Apply e‑commerce/CPG accounting methods and inventory costs.
• Prepare and support delivery of client accounting reports and deliverables.
• Respond to client questions and organize missing documentation.
• Maintain QBO and Double records for assigned tasks.
• Escalate open items, roadblocks, and risks to Controller before deadlines.
• Collaborate with Controllers and Staff Accountants to ensure quality client service.
