Flextronics is seeking a Security Specialist to support daily security operations at our site in Mexico. You will enforce safety rules, manage investigations, and maintain CCTV and access control systems.

You will collaborate with HR, Compliance, and external agencies to protect assets and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a degree in criminology or related fields, English communication skills, and knowledge of ISO 14001 and RBA standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in criminology, law, business administration, or related field.
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency.
• Conversational English required.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics processes.
• Knowledge of City Pack systems and transportation security controls.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Awareness of RBA standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience with data analysis and security/reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of Cisco platforms and communications systems.
• CTPAT and OEA compliance knowledge.
• Experience with asset security protocols and warehouse/ dock operations.
• Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.

Responsabilidades

• Apply safety and security rules per manuals and regulations.
• Manage daily safety and security operations and resolve escalations.
• Assist Security Manager with monthly guard assessments, investigations and audits.
• Set up and maintain security and alarm systems.
• Supervise security entrance/exit and access control.
• Implement security improvements per corporate policies and local practices.
• Detect loss risk and conduct investigations as needed.
• Maintain contacts with law enforcement, tenants, and internal teams.
• Monitor security equipment and coordinate with suppliers.
• Maintain asset security and loss prevention programs.

Job Summary

What a typical day looks like

• Apply safety and security rules as per manuals, including but not limited to course of action, protocols, pertinent laws, regulations, and standards.
• Manage daily safety and security operations and resolve any escalated issues.
• Assist Security Manager to do monthly guard assessment, handle emergency cases, help with investigations and audits.
• In charge of the setting up and maintenance of security and alarm systems.
• Supervise the security entrance/exit.
• Implement security/safety improvements in accordance with corporate policies and local best practices.
• Know commercial operations for the site in order to detect loss risk and carry out correspondence investigations.
• Develop and maintain list of appropriate police jurisdiction contacts.
• Monitor security officers to enforce security/safety programs and to ensure security provider is providing security officers with the appropriate skillsets and work attitudes.
• Acknowledges all security concerns from tenants and company personnel, and door or system alarms.
• Develop and maintain positive relations with tenants, contractors, local law enforcement, etc., as well as internal cross-functions like HR, Compliance, and business.
• Monitor maintenance security equipment and fix the problems in time.
• Assistant to follow up security system construction progress in building and manage suppliers.
• Manage the SCC and campus perimeter access control system.
• Experience in asset security.
• Experience with loss prevention strategies.
• Experience with investigation techniques, interview methods, and internal incident investigations.
• Holds up building customer access (visitor badge, computer label, HID access).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office.
• Conversational English.
• Basic knowledge of Supply Chain operations and logistics processes.
• Knowledge of City Pack systems and transportation security controls.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in data analysis and management of security, compliance, and reporting platforms.
• Knowledge and operation of Cisco platforms and communication systems.
• Knowledge certificate in CTPAT and OEA, overseeing compliance with procedures, regulatory controls, and audit-related actions.
• Experience checking compliance with asset security protocols, loading and unloading operations in warehouses and docks, especially high-value goods.
• Knowledge in managing and operating electronic security systems, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
