Ford México is seeking a Seat Complete Engineer to design, release and integrate components for seat systems. The role requires coordinating development to meet system requirements of design, cost, weight, quality, and craftsmanship while supporting GPDS milestones.

The candidate will lead design verification, coordinate with multiple internal and external teams, and provide on-site support during prototype, pre-production, and vehicle launch phases. International travel may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with complete seat system and/or components in the automotive industry or similar.
• Knowledge and experience with DFMEA and problem solving tools such as 8D, root cause analysis.
• Experience in full product development cycle, including launch experience in at least one vehicle.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver seat corporate quality targets for 1MIS & 3MIS within GPDS milestones.
• Complete engineering deliverables from Product definition to Launch and production stages.
• Manage Quality, Weight, Cost, and Timing for assigned parts throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead program-related meetings and coordinate with Seat Complete, Seat Structure, Studio, Safety, and others.
• Develop and execute Seat system/component level Design Verification Plans (DVP) and ensure SDS compliance.
• Lead integration of seating components into the overall seat system for performance.
• Lead resolution of prototype and final assembly build issues.
• Travel as required to support the program and quality deliverables.
