Akkodis is seeking a Design Release Engineer to own the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of the Seat system. You will manage end-to-end component ownership, ensure adherence to functional objectives, and oversee design, packaging, DVPR testing, and change control.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering education with 4+ years of experience, experience with NX, Catia V5, Teamcenter, and DFMEA.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
• 4+ yrs of relevant engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end design release and engineering development for Seat system components.
• Perform DVPR testing, change management, BOM maintenance, prototype and production build support.
• Manage CAD models in Teamcenter and drive weight/cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Present status to management and coordinate with OEMs/suppliers for issue resolution.
• Support vehicle assembly plants and field warranty analysis; conduct root cause analysis.

The Design Release Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of the Seat system.

The Engineer will have end to end ownership of their components and ensuring they meet vehicle functional objectives. Responsibilities also include component design, development, and packaging; Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing; change management; bill of material maintenance; prototype and production build support; issues management; CAD model management in Teamcenter; weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives; and communicating technical product status to management.

Additionally, supporting vehicle assembly plants for any product technical issues, support service teams for any field warranty issues and help in root cause analysis of the failures

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program

4+ yrs of relevant engineering experience

Intermediate to advanced level of design/development engineering experience in multiple of the following:

• seat structures/mechanisms interior system integration
• Experience with OEM or supplier design and release
• Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
• Experience with compontent builds and execution
• Experience with production process feasibility and developement including mold flow analysis or other interior compontent manufacturing processes
• Experience leading technical teams successfully across varied levels of management and between OEM and supply base
• Experience regularly presenting to upper managment for issue resolution decisions
