Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Ocean Logistics Import Specialist in León, Mexico. You will coordinate sea import shipments, serve as the main point of contact for customers, and collaborate with origin offices to ensure smooth handling and timely follow-ups.

The role requires 1+ years in Sea Logistics, knowledge of Incoterms and customs, and strong English, plus proficiency with Microsoft 365. You will help improve processes and support new accounts while maintaining KPIs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist - Import, you will be responsible for coordinating and following up on ocean import operations, ensuring effective communication with customers and origin offices while maintaining service quality and operational profitability.

How you create impact

• Coordinate ocean import shipments, ensuring operations follow customer requirements and agreed procedures.


• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, providing updates and following up on their shipments.


• Coordinate with origin offices to ensure proper shipment handling and follow-up.


• Prepare and update operational guidelines and procedures for assigned customer accounts.


• Monitor operational activities and ensure compliance with established performance indicators (KPIs).


• Work closely with internal teams such as Operations, Commercial, Pricing, and Finance to ensure effective service delivery.


• Support the implementation of new business accounts and the transition of existing operations.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.


• 1+ years of experience in Sea Logistics, international freight coordination, or customer service within the logistics industry.


• Knowledge of import operations, Incoterms, customs processes, and shipping documentation.


• Advanced English proficiency.


• Microsoft 365 skills.


• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
