British American Tobacco Mexico is seeking a Scientist Validation Compliance to drive validation strategies and ensure regulatory alignment across RAI operating companies. The role emphasizes change control, audits, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced, compliant environment.

Formación

  • Bachelor's of Science degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience with scripted testing, qualification, verification and/or validation is preferred.
  • Experience managing or executing validation activities is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high attention to detail while adhering to established processes and protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, understand complex system and regulatory interactions, and drive results in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Works proficiently in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Able to communicate with advance level of English.

Responsabilidades

  • Contribute to validation strategy, framework, processes and governance for FDA and other regulatory initiatives across RAI operating companies.
  • Manage and execute validation and change control activities for validation projects, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, training material, and metrics to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration and consultation for activities.
  • Contribute to staffing and workload distribution discussions for validation and related activities.
  • Manage and escalate validation-related issues as appropriate.
  • Provide validation deliverables during regulatory inspections.

British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Scientist Validation Compliance in Heredia, Costa Rica.

The Scientist, Validation Compliance contributes to and executes validation processes for regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI Operating Companies. The position manages change control activities for validations through cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with governing procedures. It participates in audits and provides backroom support during regulatory inspections.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Contribute to and execute validation strategy, framework, processes and process governance for FDA and other regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI operating companies.
  • Manage and execute validation and change control activities for validation projects, ensuring compliance with governing procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, communications, training material, and metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure and engage in cross‑functional collaboration and consultation for existing, planned, and pending activities.
  • Contribute to staffing and workload distribution discussions for validation, change control, and related activities.
  • Manage and escalate validation‑related issues, as appropriate.
  • Serve as backroom support resource, providing validation deliverables during regulatory inspections.
