British American Tobacco México has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Data Analyst in Monterrey. The role focuses on developing Power BI dashboards, maintaining data models, and supporting data quality across projects.

The ideal candidate has a degree in data analytics or related fields, 1–2 years in analytics, and strong English proficiency. Experience with Power BI and SQL is required; exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Azure is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, BI, CS, IS, Engineering, Math, Stats, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, Reporting, or related analytical field.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Power BI experience at an intermediate level (report development, basic DAX, data modeling).
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation (relational databases, joins).
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure or cloud data platforms; familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support maintenance of Microsoft Fabric semantic models and metadata.
• Monitor dataset refreshes and troubleshoot data issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and BI team to deliver analytics solutions.
• Develop Power BI dashboards.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Support the maintenance of Microsoft Fabric semantic models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Assist in maintaining semantic model relationships, measures, hierarchies, and metadata to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Monitor dataset refreshes, identify data issues, and support troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and BI team members to understand reporting requirements and support the delivery of analytical solutions.
• Development in Power BI dashboards.
• Support users by investigating reporting issues, responding to enhancement requests, and providing guidance on BI solutions.
• Assist with BAU activities, including issue tracking, documentation, and operational support tasks.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or a related analytical field. Understanding of data structures, reporting processes, and analytical best practices.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Power BI at an intermediate level, including report development, basic DAX, and data modeling concepts.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation activities, including relational databases, table relationships, and SQL joins.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based data platforms, as well as familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools, is a plus
