British American Tobacco Mexico is seeking a Marketing Intelligence Data Executive in Monterrey to develop tools that shape pricing and discounting strategy, aligning with the US and MX teams.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, building scalable data models, and delivering business-focused insights to support margin, volume, and compliance decisions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years in process automation & analysis of large-scale data sets; familiarity with basic ML (regression / decision trees).
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python with strong data storytelling in English.

Responsabilidades

• Support and develop analysis using commercial, consumer, and financial data (Databricks / PySpark) and integrate data sources.
• Transition Excel-based workflows to Databricks and Power BI; build automated pricing and performance reporting with dynamic models.
• Assist in scenario modelling for quarterly promotions, including what-if simulations and optimization trade-offs.
• Collaborate with US stakeholders to align assumptions, document methodologies, and explore automation opportunities.
• Support deployment of models and pipelines using Databricks Workflows/Jobs and validation frameworks for production-grade reliability.

British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Intelligence Data Executive in Monterrey.

The Marketing Intelligence Data Executive will work alongside its US and MX colleagues to develop tools that help shape the company’s Pricing Discounting Strategy to deliver the financial and volume objectives of the group’s biggest market. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and wants to leverage these capabilities to produce business-focused deliverables.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Support & develop analysis using commercial, consumer, & financial data (Databricks / PySpark), integrating consumer, commercial, and financial data.


• Reinforce the transition of Excel-based workflows into Databricks and Power BI. Build automated pricing and performance reporting through scalable data models, DAX measures, and DirectQuery connections to enable timely decision-making across the team.


• Assist in scenario modelling for quarterly promotion planning, incorporate what-if simulations, and constrained optimization to balance margin, volume, and compliance trade-offs.


• Work regularly with U.S stakeholders to align on business assumptions, document methodologies, and support automation opportunities across teams.


• Support deployment of models and pipelines using Databricks Workflows/Jobs, Delta Live Tables, and robust data validation frameworks to ensure production-grade reliability.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree required, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering preferred.


• Professional with at least 2 years of experience in process automation & analysis of large-scale data sets. Familiarity with basic machine learning frameworks (regression / decision trees).


• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.


• Able to communicate with advance level of English.


• Ability to communicate technical information in a consolidated and straightforward way.


• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written


• Strong leadership skills and works well in team-oriented activities.


• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders both virtually and physically in the office.
