Turner & Townsend is seeking a Planner to drive development and oversight of all project scheduling activities in a data center construction environment, on-site in Querétaro. You will ensure realistic timelines aligned with strategic objectives across multiple contracts and disciplines.

The role requires leading creation and management of schedules, baseline programmes, and narratives for clients and project teams, with strong CPM and reporting focus.

Formación

  • 10+ years of experience in project planning in large-scale industrial or data center environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, plus planning methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, interface management and contract planning.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to lead planning in fast-paced environments across teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead creation and management of project schedules using CPM.
  • Establish and maintain baseline programmes and identify risks.
  • Develop and present programme narratives for clients and teams.
  • Oversee monthly progress updates and 90-day lookahead schedules.
  • Review and approve contractor programmes and coordinate interfaces.

Job Description

We are seeking aPlannerto drive the development and oversight of all project scheduling activities in adata center construction environment, based on-site inQuerétaro. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project timelines are realistic, controlled, and aligned with strategic objectives across multiple disciplines and contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and management ofproject schedules, utilizingCritical Path Methodologyto ensure accuracy and traceability from project inception through completion.
  • Establish and maintainbaseline programmes, identify scheduling risks, and recommend corrective actions to align progress with contractual commitments.
  • Develop and present programme narratives that clearly communicate sequencing, milestones, and dependencies for client and project team alignment.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
  • Overseemonthly progress updatesin line with the reporting cycle, integrating key metrics such as earned value and delay impact analysis.
  • Generate and reviewplanning reports, tracking actual performance against the baseline and highlighting deviations with actionable insight.
  • Lead the production of90-day lookahead schedules, identifying shortfalls and proposing strategic mitigations.
Contract Interface & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Review and approve contractor programmes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and integration across interfaces.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure programme expectations are communicated, understood, and maintained.
  • Lead or contribute toscenario planning (“what-if” analysis)to support change management and risk mitigation strategies.
Systems & Tools
  • Utilize planning software such asMicrosoft ProjectandPrimavera P6to manage programme integrity and automate reporting outputs.
  • Support the implementation of planning processes and standards that meet both client expectations and internal project controls requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree inEngineering,Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of10 years of experiencein project planning withinlarge-scale industrial or data center environments.
  • Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Project,Primavera P6, and planning methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, interface management, and contract planning requirements.
  • Fluent inEnglish (written and verbal), with proven ability to present programme information to both technical and executive audiences.
