ON.energy in Mexico is seeking a SCADA Engineer to own the core configuration of our Ignition-based SCADA platform across BESS and grid assets. You will focus on tag structures, UDT setup, and field device communication while supporting the HMI and controls teams with automation tools.

Responsibilities include designing MQTT communication, integrating with PLCs using Modbus, OPC UA, and DNP3, building templates and validation utilities, and documenting standards to ensure scalable, reliable

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years hands-on Ignition experience including tag configuration, UDT setup, device connections, and scripting.
• Experience with MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, or DNP3.
• Experience building/configuring SCADA scripts/tools for deployment/validation.
• Strong troubleshooting across software and field hardware.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Configure and maintain SCADA tags, UDTs, and device connections in Ignition.
• Design MQTT communication and broker configuration for SCADA with Ignition.
• Integrate SCADA with PLCs across BESS and grid assets using MQTT/Modbus/OPC UA/DNP3.
• Develop tools to automate UDT/tag generation, templates, and data validation.
• Provide support to the HMI and controls teams including deployment automation.
• Document SCADA standards and MQTT structures.
