Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an experienced SAP Master Data expert to provide functional and technical support for SAP S/4 S/2P Master Data, CPAi, and Jaggaer platforms. You will drive continuous process improvements, ensure system stability, and align with enterprise goals through best-in-class SAP S2P solutions and master data governance.

Role requires collaboration across ITS and GBS teams, management of data lifecycles, and ownership of data architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

• SAP MDG and S/4 HANA expertise with data maintenance experience.
• Experience with Material Master, BP-Customer, Vendor data.

Job description

This role is responsible for providing expert level functional and technical support for SAP S/4 S2P Master Data, CPAi & Jaggaer platforms. The role ensures continuous process improvement, system stability, solution optimization, and alignment with enterprise-wide strategic objectives through best-in-class SAP S2P solutions and to have deep understanding of Master data, Contract Pod Ai and Jaggaer platforms.

Responsiblities:

• Fulfil all the technology requirements for Procurement function e.g. Evaluate, implement new process & tools globally and support existing process and platforms deployed globally

• Understand business requirements to design and deliver the appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other ITS, GBS etc. teams or Enterprise Excellence teams and externals to deliver appropriate solutions to the business
• Oversee tracking & resolution for production support issues, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements (BAU), managing escalations, and providing regular status updates to project leadership
• Meet project objectives and project milestones considering planned resources and deadlines, approved project scope and requested quality of project deliverables
• Risk awareness and corrective action where applicable

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred with up to 10 years relevant experience. Willingness to travel according to the business need, shall accommodate different time zones as per project requirement.

Experience required:

• SAP Master data expert, Integration/functional SAP MDG, S2C SAP S/4 knowledge
• SAP S/4 HANA- STP Product Knowledge expert
• S/4 Master data: Working experience in maintaining data for Material Master, Business Partners/Vendor – Vendor Account Groups, Partner Schemas, Purchase Info Records, Source list, Service masters, Quota arrangements, Outline agreements
• Technical Stewardship of Master Data Systems (MDM, S/4 HANA, CPAI, Jaggaer applications) : Strong knowledge of upstream procurement processes (Source to Contract), and the impact on downstream processes (Requisition to Pay)
• Responsible for how master data is maintained and integrated across systems
• Own the technical architecture of master data maintenance tools, including mass upload/update tools
• Manage the data lifecycle, including archival and retention rules.
• Support data structures, schemas, and integration mappings
• Partner with Supplier-IT teams on system upgrades, patches, and cloud migrations impacting master data
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams for Material Master, BP-Customer, HR mini master as required
• Issue Resolution & Technical Support:
• Be the escalation point for systemic master data issues.
• Analyze root causes for recurring data issues.
• Guide L1/L2/L3 teams in resolving technical data defects.
• Provide troubleshooting support for integrations, workflows, and system behavior.
• Ensure incidents lead to long-term stabilization, not just quick fixes.
• Documentation & Standards Management:
• Own and Maintain technical documentation -Data models, Field dictionaries.
• Integration maps
• Validation rules
• Process flows

This is a HYBRID working environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Requires approximately 10% travel.
