Job summary

KION SCS is seeking a SAP Technical Consultant to manage the technical developments of the SAP Systems in the NA region. The role focuses on SAP PS, S/4HANA, and FIORI projects, including design, configuration, and support across global teams.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in SAP Project Systems and hands-on experience with SAP PS modules, WBS, Network, and cost planning, with strong communication in English. Travel up to 10% internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or similar.
• 2+ years of experience in SAP Project Systems.
• 2+ full life cycle SAP implementations preferred.
• CPM experience is a plus.
• S/4HANA with SAP FIORI experience.
• Experience in S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong SAP PS, Network, WBS knowledge and integration with other modules.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally.

Responsibilities

KION SCS is looking for a SAP Technical Consultant responsible for managing the Technical developments of the SAP Systems in our NA region. As the Technical Consultant / Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on the Business Transformation project for KION SCS and build / customize the SAP S/4HANA applications.

To be successful in this demanding role, your proven track record will enable you to deliver against the following key performance areas:

• Responsible for successful implementation of SAP Project Systems (PS), including providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP products to users.
• Responsible for creating complex estimates inside SAP PS and Integrate project variations into your project cost forecasting, revenue, and budget reporting.
• Knowledge and experience of intercompany processes in SAP PS.
• Schedule project dates using intuitive and user-friendly Fiori Gantt Chart.
• Design and implement core functionalities of SAP PS structures, WBS, Network, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Material Requirement planning, Project quotation, Time sheets, Goods issues.
• Facilitates the gathering of requirements, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP PS to enhance the clients' business functionality and performance.
• Configure the SAP system in the areas of SAP PS to meet the requirements collected during blueprinting work sessions.
• Develop process models based on business requirements to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
• Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional, and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information and being able to document an accurate understanding of their business requirements and mapping of those to SAP business processes.
• Provide support (e.g., break/fix, how to expertise, minor enhancements, monitoring, testing) for business applications or infrastructure to associates or third parties to maintain their productivity level (including international and fourth level break/fix support).
• Monitor Risks / Issues and prepare appropriate mitigation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
• 2+ years of experience in SAP Project Systems.
• 2 or more full life cycle implementations of SAP would be considered an asset.
• Desired experience with CPM.
• SAP EC&O industry experience with S/4HANA and SAP FIORI.
• Experience working in S/4HANA Implementation projects.
• Strong functional knowledge on the SAP PS, Network, WBS, and overall SAP functional knowledge (integration with other components / modules).
• Experience creating cost plans from approved estimates by dragging & dropping estimate items to project WBS or Network Activities.
• Experience Compare Estimates with Project Forecasts and Actual Costs, thus analyzing the accuracy of the estimates.
• Desired implementation experience of PPM/CPM.
• Integration knowledge with various SAP modules like MM,QM, CO, PP, PM, WM, SD, and FI.
• Proficient using Project Management tools (JIRA), preparing, and presenting project reports.
• Knowledge testing methodologies, processes, and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system, regression, and dry run testing.
• Ability to design and develop test plans (e.g., test objectives, test cases, test data, test scripts) for executing unit, integration, system, or acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the business requirements.
• Strong communication skills (English required C1/C2).
