• Process Design & Configuration: map requirements to EWM features and set storage types, putaway/picking, and wave management.
• System Integration: connect EWM with MM, SD, PP, TM modules.
• Project Delivery: lead or participate in full lifecycle implementations (blueprinting, testing, data migration, go-live support).
• Support & Troubleshooting: resolve incidents and handle change requests.
• Advanced Features Implementation: deploy RF tools, warehouse monitors, cross-docking, and physical inventory procedures.

Job title: SAP EWM Consultant Job Description

As a SAP EWM Consultant, being a key contributor to designing and delivering efficient, future‑ready warehouse and logistics solutions for international clients. You work at the intersection of business and technology, helping organizations optimize end‑to‑end warehouse processes using SAP EWM. Acting as a trusted advisor, you analyze operational challenges, propose innovative solutions, and support clients throughout implementation and support phases.

You collaborate closely with global teams and stakeholders, ensure high‑quality solution design and documentation, and play an active role in stabilizing and enhancing logistics operations. With your strong functional expertise and clear communication style, you help clients achieve transparency, efficiency, and scalability in their warehouse processes.

SAP EWM consultant combines deep functional knowledge with practical warehouse process understanding. Core skills include hands‑on configuration of the SAP EWM module, knowledge of inbound and outbound processes, slotting, and physical inventory, familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and integration with modules such as MM and PP, and the ability to translate business requirements into a technical roadmap. Strong communication and project management skills are equally important, since consultants coordinate between warehouse teams, IT, and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Design & Configuration: Map business requirements to SAP EWM functionality, configuring storage types, bins, putaway/picking strategies, and wave management.
• System Integration: Connect EWM with other modules like MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and TM (Transportation Management).
• Project Delivery: Lead or participate in full‑lifecycle implementations, including blueprinting, testing, data migration, and go‑live support.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Resolve daily system incidents, analyze delivery or handling unit errors, and manage change requests.
• Advanced Features Implementation: Deploy tools like Radio Frequency (RF), warehouse monitors, cross‑docking, and physical inventory procedures.
