seeks a Safety and Environmental Coordinator to lead industrial safety, health programs, and environmental compliance in our Tijuana facility. This role focuses on preventing risk and ensuring Mexican regulatory and ISO14001 standards are met. You will coordinate guards, train the safety committee, investigate incidents, support medical services, pest control, and develop contingency plans with authorities, while promoting a proactive safety

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, electrotechnical, environmental or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Training and Certifications in Safety/Environmental field are a must.
• English conversational level (>80%).
• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other software.
• Willingness to support the evening shift on some occasions.
• Proactive, with initiative, team player and leadership when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Support implementation of Industrial Safety Health & Environmental Programs to prevent risk or unhealthy conditions.
• Coordinate Guards to safeguard and maintain order per procedures.
• Coordinate safety and health committee training and effectiveness.
• Investigate accidents, incidents & near-misses.
• Support Medical Service and Pest control.
• Update Contingencies Plan with authorities and establish Emergency Plans.
• Advise on PPE and safety equipment purchases and environmental controls.
• Develop policies, internal procedures, and Government regulations communication to personnel.
• Coordinate safety program trainings.
• Support ISO14001 audits and external verification of certification.
• Standardize and implement safety best practices.
• Assist guards and monitor access control and safety building compliance with C-TPAT.
• Support supervisor/manager initiatives to improve safety.

Descripción del empleo

• Support to implement Industrial Safety Health & Environmental Programs to prevent or correct risk labor or no healthy conditions. Prevent and protect the environment to comply with the requirements of Mexican Legal Norms, International Certifications (ISO) and the internal policies, procedures of the Company.
• Responsible for coordinating the activities of Guards in Safeguarding, Protecting and Maintaining Order to comply with the Company’s Procedures and Policies.

• Responsible of the coordination, training and efficient functionality of the Safety and Health committee.
• Responsible of investigate of accidents, incidents & near miss.
• Support Medical Service.
• Responsible for Pest control.
• Responsible and coordinate the updating of Contingencies Plan of the company in coordination with the authorities of the different government offices, Citi Hall, State and Federal, establishing Emergencies Response Plans.
• Support the evaluation and recommendations for purchase of material and Safety Protection personal equipment, as well as material and preventions equipment, protection, and Environmental control for the different Areas in the company.
• Development and Inform to the company, policies, internal procedures, and the Government regulations to the personnel and corporative.
• Coordinate of the safety program trainings.
• Analysis the activities of risk with the Third party and maintenance.
• Support in the implementation of organizational culture.
• Support internal and official audits (BSI) of ISO14001 to assure the Certification for the company.
• Standardize and implement of safety best practices of the Corporation.
• Supporting the activities of guards in the Company.
• Administrative of access control, camaras, safety building in compliance with C-TPAT
• Support the Supervisor and Manager Initiatives to improve Safety in Panasonic.

-Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering Electrotechnical, Environmental or Related Field,

-Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar position.

• Training and Certifications in the Safety | Environmental field are a must.

-English in a Conversational Level. (> 80 %).

-Knowledge of Excel, PPT and other computer software.

-Can support the evening shift on some occasions.

-Must be Proactive, with initiative, Team Player.

-On many occasions must have leadership to get the job done.
