Wallenius Wilhelmsen group is seeking a Safety Specialist to monitor workplace accident rates and lead safety trainings in Toluca. You will manage compliance with ISO 45001/14001, support internal and external audits, and ensure client requirements are met.

Strong focus on data-driven safety improvements and risk prevention. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field, knowledge of STPS regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Civil Protection, or related field.
• Experience with risk assessment and hazard prevention.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency required.

Overview:

Follow up on Health and Safety activities and programs, fostering a strong safety culture and reducing workplace accidents through compliance with internal requirements.

Job Description

• Monitor and follow up on workplace accident rates.


• Conduct safety training sessions and employee safety inductions.


• Manage safety and environmental compliance procedures with clients and government authorities.


• Support internal audits and provide assistance during external audits.


• Monitor and ensure compliance with client requirements.


• Support compliance with Safety 1st / WOW initiatives.


• Support compliance with client requirements and specifications.


• Support compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.


• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual safety KPI reports.


• Collect and record safety monitoring data and perform trend analysis.


• Support the closure of action plans aimed at risk prevention.


• Develop safety procedures, manuals, LUPS (Lesson Learned / One-Point Lessons), and related documentation.


• Implement and monitor the IMPACT program.


• Support the preparation and reporting of KPIs.


• Record and follow up on unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.


• Support the completion of risk assessments.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Civil Protection, or a related field.

Knowledge:

• Mexican STPS (Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare) regulations.


• Risk assessment and hazard prevention.


• Emergency response team (brigade) management.


• Workplace incident and accident reporting.


• Follow-up and closure of preventive and corrective actions.


• Industrial safety training.


• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) administration and management.


• Knowledge of ISO standards (preferably ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).


• Accident investigation and root cause analysis.


• Credential and documentation control.


• Standard transmission vehicle operation.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of experience in Industrial Safety.
