TekniPlex Healthcare is seeking an EHS Coordinator to lead and advance the Environmental, Health & Safety program across production, warehouse, and office spaces in Mexico. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive risk-based improvements, and foster a proactive safety culture guided by JHA/IPER methodologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Experience with EHS Management Systems is required.
• Knowledge of NOM-STPS and environmental regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System across production, warehouse, and office operations.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, environmental regulations, corporate EHS standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor risk assessment methodologies (JHA/IPER).
• Coordinate internal, external, customer, and corporate EHS audits with effective closure of findings.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate EHS programs including LOTO, working at heights, confined space, hot work, ergonomics, chemical management, emergency response, contractor management, and training.

This position plays a critical role in coordinating, implementing, and leading Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and the continuous development of a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.

General Job Description

Coordinate, implement, and lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management activities with a primary focus on identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace risks through JHA/IPER methodologies. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, preventing incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture across production, warehouse, and office operations.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience

• Experience implementing and administering EHS Management Systems.
• Experience ensuring compliance with Mexican Occupational Safety (NOM-STPS) and Environmental Regulations.
• Experience developing and implementing Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
• Experience coordinating internal, external, customer, and corporate audits.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Knowledge, Training and Specific Skills

• Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of Risk Assessment Methodologies (JHA/IPER).
• Knowledge of EHS performance indicators (TRIR, DART, Near Miss, and Leading Indicators).
• Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
• Experience using Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis tools (5 Whys, RCA).
• Ergonomics knowledge is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health & Safety Management System across production, warehouse, and office operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, environmental regulations, corporate EHS standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor risk assessment methodologies (JHA/IPER), ensuring proper application during critical activities and operational changes.
• Coordinate internal, external, customer, and corporate EHS audits while ensuring the effective closure of audit findings.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators, analyze trends, and implement action plans that contribute to risk reduction and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate key EHS programs—including Permit to Work (LOTO, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work), Ergonomics, Chemical Management, Emergency Response, Contractor Management, EHS Training, and Safety Culture initiatives—while supporting operational leadership in risk-based decision making.

Languages
