Rosewood Hotel Group seeks a Head Sommelier to curate elite wine experiences, lead a talented team, and elevate guest journeys with personalized recommendations and hospitality excellence.

You will develop world-class wine programs, train staff, collaborate with culinary teams, and ensure impeccable service standards across all outlets while upholding licensing and safety compliance.

Formación

  • Experience leading a sommelier team with hospitality focus.
  • Strong knowledge of wine regions, vintages, and service standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and guest-centric approach.
  • Ability to curate wine lists aligned with menus.

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the sommelier team to a culture of excellence.
  • Oversee wine program delivery across outlets for consistency and quality.
  • Build relationships with guests through personalized wine recommendations.
  • Collaborate with culinary and F&B teams on wine pairings.
  • Manage wine service standards across outlets with precision.
  • Oversee cellar operations: stock control, inventory, ordering, rotation.
  • Deliver wine education and training programs for staff.

As Head Sommelier, you are the curator of our wine experience, bringing exceptional expertise, leadership, and passion to every guest interaction. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the sommelier team, creating a culture of expertise, excellence, and genuine hospitality.
  • Curate and oversee the delivery of the wine program across all outlets, ensuring consistency, quality, and memorable guest experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with guests through personalized wine recommendations, creating experiences that are insightful, engaging, and tailored to individual preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary and Food & Beverage teams to develop exceptional food and wine pairings that enhance the dining journey.
  • Manage wine service standards across all outlets, ensuring every bottle is presented, decanted, and served with precision and care.
  • Oversee cellar operations, including stock control, inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation, maintaining the highest levels of organization and accountability.
  • Deliver engaging wine education and training programs for both the sommelier team and wider Food & Beverage associates.
  • Lead wine tastings, dinners, and special events, showcasing the hotel’s wine collection and creating unique experiences for guests.
  • Contribute to the continued development and evolution of wine lists, ensuring they remain innovative, commercially successful, and aligned with guest expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and company policies relating to beverage operations.
