Newell Brands seeks an Robot Automation Engineer to lead automation projects, train technicians on new equipment, and identify new robot application opportunities to improve processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sensor, network, and control system enhancements within the plant.

The role requires a background in engineering with at least 2 years in robotics, PLC programming, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or half-completed degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the field.
• Experience and training in Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic/Pneumatic domains.
• Experience in Robot programming (optional).
• Experience in PLC and Driver Programming.
• Ability to interpret electrical/electronic control schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Office software.
• Intermediate level in technical and conversational English.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define sensor, computing, network, and redundancy requirements.
• Work on automation projects assigned by the Area supervisor.
• Identify new automation applications to simplify current processes.
• Train robot technicians, set up and test robot automation cell.
• Record and report any hardware or behavioral issues from checks or tests.
• Document robotics test procedures and results.
• Design documents or results of operational tests.
• Work on parts or components lists for each machine in operation.
• Develop, manufacture and order field support equipment.
• Coordinate with the Area supervisor to adjust robots as needed.
• Edit and track robot programming.
• Assemble prototypes and test new robots.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance for current robots.
• Support technicians in the Robot Area during production.
• Train new technicians in the Robots Area.
• Fill out Matto reports and preventive tasks.
• Generate operating procedures for each equipment under development before startup.
• Develop teams with all required safety devices.
