Job summary

accesso is seeking a Staff Accountant for a 100% remote position based in Mexico. The role supports the Finance team, ensuring accurate financial statements and robust controls across multi-entity operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and fluency in English and Spanish. Proficiency in Excel and experience with Sage Intacct/Planful, plus IFRS knowledge, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Accounting degree required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• Ability to drive process improvements using AI

Responsibilities

• Provide key support to various finance functions.
• Implement systems, software, processes, and procedures.
• Maintain a system of controls over all accounting transactions.
• Assist with issuing timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
• Ensure clients are invoiced timely and accurately.
• Facilitate collection efforts.
• Apply client payments.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed within deadlines.
• Assist with annual audit requests.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as required, including special projects as necessary.
• Maintain a customer service mindset to ensure all internal and external customers are satisfied
